Team Quantabio: Lauren Lupino, Sales

At Quantabio, members of our sales team have to be equally at home in the lab and delivering a sales presentation. That’s why we are so lucky to have people like Lauren Lupino, regional sales manager, contributing to the customer experience. Based in the UK, she came to Quantabio seven years ago.

Q: What do you do at Quantabio?

A: I co-lead the European sales team, with direct responsibility for Germany, Austria, the UK, Ireland, and the Nordic countries. As part of a small, agile team, I take on a variety of roles — from supporting and developing our salespeople to managing our European distribution partner and driving regional strategy

Q: What brought you to the company?

A: I actually came from the distribution partner. I had been a life science specialist there, responsible for growing the business with multiple suppliers. Quantabio always stood out from the other suppliers. The team and their products were fantastic, and all of the customers I was speaking with told me they got excellent results. My background is heavily in molecular biology and I used to use Quantabio products myself in the lab.

Q: What’s the best thing about your job?

A: The team, for sure. We have really smart and creative people, which makes it a fun place to work and also helps us to be adaptable in supporting our customers.

Q: What do you wish more people knew about Quantabio?

A: I wish everybody knew that the performance of our products is outstanding. I really think we stand out from the other reagent manufacturers.

Q: Fill in the blank: Better reagents lead to ______.

A: Faster innovation in science. Higher-performing products help deliver faster results, and that contributes to the bigger picture of how R&D aims to progress medical innovation.

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

A: I love spending time with friends. We're big music fans, so in the summer you’ll often find us at festivals. In the colder months, we swap the fields for cozy walks — usually wrapped up against the British weather — or catching up over good food.

Q: What’s your ideal vacation?

A: Going on holiday is my favorite thing to do! As I’m getting older I’m enjoying a more active element to my holidays, like mixing in some hiking with the relaxing. We’ve actually just bought a camper van so we can go touring around Europe.
