Happy September! Back-to-school season always puts us in mind of freshly sharpened pencils, the smell of new books and the sound of the school bell ringing across the corridors.
Whether you’re celebrating back-to-school season or not, if you work in academia, this is probably the time of year you head back to the lab full-time. No more short days ending with a nice dip in the pool! And if you work in industry, well, vacation season is over and now it’s time to buckle down for conference season instead.
Here at Quantabio, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the summer, and now we’re ready for fall. As we all get back to business, or back to the lab, we thought we’d offer a quick roundup to help you get your head in the game.
Conferences on the horizon

Pack your lunchbox — and don’t forget Qburt!
If you’re familiar with Quantabio, you probably know about our chameleon mascot Qburt. We’ve been giving away plush Qburt toys and now we’re in the midst of a fun social media challenge to make the world a better place. Just bring Qburt someplace interesting (Qburt particularly loves exploring labs, but is glad to perch just about anywhere), snap a photo, and post it to your favorite social media site with the hashtag #WhereIsQburt. As long as you tag us (@quantabio) so we see it, we’ll donate $10 to the Wildlife Conservation Society for every post submitted through December 31st.
